Chris Kidd is a Member of the Institute of the Motor
Industry. I have been a qualified Engineer for over 30
years and I have a detailed knowledge of vehicle
construction. I was previously employed by HMC&E, HMRC
and UKBA, where part of my duties was the examination of
all types of vehicle to ascertain whether or not they
have been constructed or adapted in any way to create
concealments that could be used for smuggling purposes.
I have
also advised several Police Authorities on adapted
vehicles and attended Crown Court, Magistrate's Court
and Appeals Tribunals on their behalf as an expert
witness.
